Basketball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra lost against North Canyon back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions took a blow against the Rattlers, falling 69-38. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alhambra's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jyhari Watkins, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 16 points along with five boards and three steals, and Hunter James, who posted five points. The contest was Watkins' third in a row with at least 16 points.

Alhambra now has a losing record of 1-2.

Alhambra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-55 defeat against Marcos de Niza on the 25th. As for North Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-48 victory against Sierra Linda on the 25th.
