If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Urbandale. They will challenge Jefferson on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Urbandale don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Urbandale put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Des Moines North 49-13. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Des Moines North two weeks ago, Jefferson came back down to earth. Jefferson fell to Ames 29-41.
Urbandale took their contest against Jefferson the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 59-28 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Urbandale since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
