The East Tech Scarabs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maple Heights Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, East Tech came up short against Max S. Hayes and fell 39-28. East Tech has not had much luck with Max S. Hayes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, East Tech had strong showings from Nadia Pamplin, who scored 14 points, and Shukuru Kalenga, who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pamplin has scored all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Maple Heights gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 48-23 margin over Garfield Heights. The victory was just what Maple Heights needed coming off of a 55-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maple Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Dillard, who scored 20 points. Janyah Weems was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
East Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Maple Heights, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
