Richwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Montcalm Generals 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jenna Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubree Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Richwood's record is now 19-7. As for Montcalm, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Looking ahead, Richwood will head out on the road to take on Sherman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tide have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Montcalm, they will be taking part in a tournament against Meadow Bridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.67 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
