There's no place like home for the South Aiken Thoroughbreds, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-38 win over Midland Valley on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South Aiken also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Aiken to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sumara Williams, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kearstin Grant, who scored ten points.
The victory got South Aiken back to even at 11-11. As for Midland Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
South Aiken will be playing at home against Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Aiken focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Midland Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against North Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Augusta will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Midland Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
