Make it seven blowout wins for the Oak Ridge Wildcats this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Campbell County 71-44 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Oak Ridge who now have seven in a row.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Owens, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Browning, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Oak Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Campbell County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will face off against Karns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Karns has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 443 points over their last seven contests. As for Campbell County, they will head out on the road to square off against Middlesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
