Basketball Recap: Kendall Hudson Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thales Academy Apex, Thales Academy Rolesville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They managed a 31-26 win over the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-35 back in November of 2024.

Thales Academy Rolesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Hudson, who posted nine points and six boards. Hudson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Mary Niebauer was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Togni, who scored ten points and four steals. Ella Solle also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Thales Academy Rolesville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 30-23 victory against St. Thomas More Academy on the 21st.
