Smidt Tech enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Los Angeles Leadership Academy on Tuesday. This was payback for Smidt Tech, who suffered a 53-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Aaron Merlos, who scored 33 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Nathan Lopez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Los Angeles Leadership Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Oscar Hernandez. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Ramirez, who scored four points.
