Grace Christian never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Asheville Christian Academy Lions 10-0. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Landon McDonald tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since March 4th.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Cuddy, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Alfonsin, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Grace Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Asheville Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Coming up, Grace Christian will challenge High Point Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. High Point Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Grace Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they will square off against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
