Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Potomac School). Everything went their way against the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers on Thursday as they made off with a 16-8 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won five matches in a row.

Potomac School let Ian Parrish and Christian Lam run wild. Parrish fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4, while Lam went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, Parrish posted two runs, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Jake Adamec was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Potomac School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Potomac School's record is now 5-6. As for Georgetown Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac School will take on St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Georgetown Day, they will face off against Maret at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mighty Hoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Frogs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
