Softball Recap: Manchester's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Manchester extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Eastern. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Comets. The victory was nothing new for the Squires as they're now sitting on three straight.

Allie Egolf was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Izzy Renz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Manchester hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.

Manchester now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Eastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-24.

As of now, neither Manchester nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
