The Southeast Halifax Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on KIPP P with a sharp 68-43 win. The result was nothing new for Southeast Halifax, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Southeast Halifax got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trayvese Silver out in front who scored 18 points. The game was Silver's third in a row with at least ten points. Travis Johnson Jr. was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Southeast Halifax's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for KIPP P, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Southeast Halifax will head out on the road to face off against Weldon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weldon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Southeast Halifax is ranked 109th). As for KIPP P, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northampton County at 7:30 p.m. Northampton County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 225 points over their last three games.
