On Saturday, Hardaway was able to grind out a solid  win over Brookwood, taking the game  45-35. Given Hardaway's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 105th, while Brookwood is ranked 298th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Hardaway got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Akilah Shelton out in front who  scored ten points along with seven  rebounds and six  steals. The  contest was  Shelton's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Jenaiya Hardy, who  scored nine points along with five  steals.
 The  win  makes it two in a row for Hardaway and  bumps their season record up to 5-4. As for Brookwood, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
 Hardaway will be home for the holidays to greet  Harris County at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Brookwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Greater Atlanta Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
