Basketball Recap: Kuna Has No Trouble Against Centennial

Kuna won the last time they faced Centennial and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kuna Kavemen took down the Centennial Patriots 58-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kavemen.

Centennial lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Pepper Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Smith has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mercy Hatfield, who posted seven points and ten boards.

Kuna has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Centennial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Kuna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centennial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rocky Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is facing Rocky Mountain at the right time seeing as Rocky Mountain is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
