Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Shorecrest Prep Chargers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 59-8 loss at the hands of the Mustangs on Monday. Shorecrest Prep just can't catch a break and has now endured ten defeats in a row.
Leading Northside Christian to victory were Rilee Knight and Sydney White. Knight scored 16 points, while White scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Somers, who scored nine points.
Shorecrest Prep dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Northside Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Shorecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northside Christian will head out on the road to take on the Marauders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Clearwater Central Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
