In what's become a running theme this season, the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Sonoran Science Academy on the road to the tune of 69-14. While fans of Arrowhead Christian Academy might be used to big wins, the 55-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asa Shaw, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Shaw is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cristian DeLaCruz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Sonoran Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will square off against Jefferson Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Arrowhead Christian Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jefferson Prep in Arizona (Arrowhead Christian Academy is ranked 115th, while Jefferson Prep is ranked 311th). As for Sonoran Science Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Our Lady of the Sun Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
