Softball Recap: Times Squared Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Times Squared Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past Paul Cuffee 16-4. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 27-2).

The team relied heavily on Maylin Hilario, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Temi Okelola, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Times Squared Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Paul Cuffee, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Coming up, Times Squared Academy will square off against Shea at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Paul Cuffee, they will take on Exeter-West Greenwich at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scarlet Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33 runs per game on average), something Paul Cuffee will no doubt try to take advantage of.
