Forge Christian found their leader in underclassman Levi Clark, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Miller, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Stargate School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hunter Roark. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five steals. Connor Rusch was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Forge Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Stargate School, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
Forge Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Addenbrooke Classical Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Forge Christian is ranked 20th). As for Stargate School, they will head out on the road to challenge Regis Groff at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Regis Groff's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
