After two games on the road, Ribault is heading back home. They will take on The Baldwin Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Friday, Ribault came up short against ED White and fell 28-20.
Despite the loss, Ribault saw an underclassman step up: Timothy Cole rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 215 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Baldwin can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Nassau 35-0 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Baldwin.
Baldwin found their leader in underclassman Neshawn Jacobs, who rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Jacobs' longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards. Kelvin Brown did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Ribault's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely ED White, Raines, and Middleburg. As for Baldwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Ribault came up short against Baldwin in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 23-16. Thankfully for Ribault, Jalen Hitchens (who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
