Tennyson scaled the state rankings by moving to 547 from 669 this week, the biggest jump in West Alameda County - Shoreline. The Lancers were able to move up by besting Kennedy 52-26.
Tennyson made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,786 from 9,675. The advance stemmed from a 52-26 victory over the Titans last week.
Terry Smith's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Silva threw for 107 and 3 touchdowns and Xavier Thibodeaux had 69 yards receiving. On the ground Isaiah Rogers contributed 133 yards. Kody Cochran helped Tennyson's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 23 yards.
The Lancers' dynamic duo of Silva and Thibodeaux proved to be unstoppable against Kennedy, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cochran helped Tennyson's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 23 yards.
Rogers was a passing and rushing force as Tennyson defeated David Damewood's team. Rogers' favorite target this week was Thibodeaux, who caught 2 passes for 69 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mt. Eden's Jonathan Sturholm and Dominic Williams have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Sturholm has thrown for 1,186 yards this season, while Williams has 30 catches for 418 yards. The Lancers' Rogers leads the league in rushing yards with 469.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Tennyson takes on Alameda. As it stands, the Lancers are in first, while the Hornets are in third.
Tennyson led West Alameda County - Shoreline in scoring this week by notching 52 points on the Titans. Silva ran for 17 yards in the win.
