Arkoma is 0-9 against Keota since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Arkoma Mustangs will be playing at home against the Keota Lions at 7:00 p.m. Arkoma is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Arkoma didn't have too much trouble with Gans on the road as they won 30-14. The victory was just what Arkoma needed coming off of a 21-0 defeat in their prior contest.
Arkoma got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carl Brake out in front who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Brake's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Lanham, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Keota can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on October 12th. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 44-6 win over Welch. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Keota had established a 30 point advantage.
Arkoma's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Keota, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.
Arkoma was dealt a bruising 52-6 loss at the hands of Keota in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Arkoma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
