Christiansburg has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hidden Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Blue Demons will welcome the Titans at 6:00 p.m. Christiansburg is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
Blacksburg hit Christiansburg with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Demons fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 12-11.
Addison Reasor was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Reagan Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Hidden Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Cave Spring, falling 11-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since April 12th.
Hidden Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was BAILEY HALL, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Hidden Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Christiansburg, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Christiansburg hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Hidden Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
