Batesburg-Leesville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ridge Spring-Monetta apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Ridge Spring-Monetta found their leader in underclassman Taylah Leaphart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 steals. Jordyn Gilliam was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 9 steals.
Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Batesburg-Leesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they will head out on the road to face off against Gilbert at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Gilbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
