Palmetto can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Hialeah with a sharp 93-70 victory. Given Palmetto's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Hialeah is ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palmetto relied on the efforts of Samfree Sarante, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 1 assist, and Santiago Henriquez, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 assists. Henriquez is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Joshua Lipson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dr. Krop ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Jackson 66-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Dr. Krop has posted yet this season.
Dr. Krop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joseph Washington led the charge by scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Washington hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Ferguson, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Dr. Krop, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
