The McCormick Chiefs came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Ninety Six on the road to the tune of 67-40. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-12.
Among those leading the charge was Triston Brown, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Cartledge, who scored 7 points along with 4 blocks.
McCormick's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ninety Six, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
McCormick is on the road again on Friday and play against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Dixie will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Ninety Six will take on Ware Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th.
