The Denton Broncos will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Denton is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
Last Friday, Denton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, Denton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Falcons are ranked 218th).
Denton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Sheats, who scored 18 points, and Chase Thomas who scored 15 points. Hudson Torres was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Argyle pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-63 to Grapevine. Argyle has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Denton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season. As for Argyle, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-6.
Denton came up short against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, falling 46-40. Will Denton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
