After both having extra time off, the Acadiana Christian Lions and the Bishop Noland Episcopal Day Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Acadiana Christian will head out to face Bishop Noland Episcopal Day after giving up their first home loss of the  season two weeks ago. The Lions fell  3-1 to Christian Home Educators Fellowship. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots  25-14 in the first  set.
 Acadiana Christian couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Christian Home Educators Fellowship a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 14-25, 32-30, 25-22,  25-15.

 Acadiana Christian's  loss came about despite a quality game from  Yvette Olivier, who  had 26 assists and 14  digs. Olivier has been hot for a while, having  posted 13 or more  assists the last 30 times she's  played.
Meanwhile,  it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Noland Episcopal Day had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Flame with a sharp  3-0 victory.
 While Bishop Noland Episcopal Day won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-22,  25-19.
 Acadiana Christian suffered their first home  defeat, dropping their record down to 12-3-1. As for Bishop Noland Episcopal Day, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Friday's  matchup:  Acadiana Christian has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 8.6  aces per game. However, it's not like Bishop Noland Episcopal Day struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 11.8  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Acadiana Christian couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Noland Episcopal Day in their previous meeting  on October 3rd as they fell  3-1. Can the Lions avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
