The Mountain Ridge Sentinels were the 64-62 winner over the Bingham Miners when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between Mountain Ridge and Bingham wasn't particularly close, with Mountain Ridge falling 62-46.
Mountain Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Lindsay, who scored 16 points. Lindsay has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Wyatt Sylvester was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Leading Bingham to victory were Stockton Tueller and Luke West. Tueller scored 17 points along with seven assists, while West scored 25 points along with two steals and two blocks. West is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhett Dawson, who scored eight points.
Mountain Ridge's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bingham, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.
Mountain Ridge will square off against Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corner Canyon will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Mountain Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bingham, they will be playing at home against Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bingham's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
