Despite the loss, Peninsula Catholic had strong showings from Ajah Davidson, who had 21 digs, and Deana Tavarez, who had 19 kills, six digs, and five aces. Tavarez has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last ten times she's played.
Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy got the win against Cape Henry Collegiate on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.
Norfolk Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-14.
Norfolk Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Peninsula Catholic, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-7.
