Riley Weaver made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Adams-Friendship got a massive performance out of Kerrigan Danowski, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Danowski a new career-high. Gwen Gransee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Adams-Friendship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westfield Area only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Almond-Bancroft unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Stratford by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Almond-Bancroft's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Adams-Friendship, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Adams-Friendship has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Almond-Bancroft struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
