Western Harnett was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinecrest Patriots.  Western Harnett couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Pinecrest a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 29-31,  25-9.
Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pinecrest, they picked up their first home  win, bumping their record up to 3-4.
 Looking ahead, Western Harnett will square off against Triton at 5:45  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Pinecrest, they will face off against Purnell Swett at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
