The Del Sol Jaguars fell victim to the Royal Highlanders''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Highlanders 27-0. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Royal found their leader in underclassman Carlin Bleckner, who rushed for 285 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry. Bleckner's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards.
Del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Royal, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.
Del Sol will take on San Marcos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Royal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
