The Naaman Forest Rangers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 28-14 to North Garland, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Naaman Forest lost against North Garland in their previous head to head on Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 28-14 score last time.
Naaman Forest's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chance Ables, who picked up 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Deangelo Perales who threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.5% of his passes.
Naaman Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for North Garland, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Naaman Forest will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lakeview Centennial. Lakeview Centennial presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Naaman Forest in Texas (Lakeview Centennial is ranked 326th, while Naaman Forest is ranked 684th). As for North Garland, they will head out on the road to face off against Sachse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sachse knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully North Garland likes a good challenge.
