The Lee Park Prep Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Carolina Christian 85-55 on the road. Lee Park Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lee Park Prep was led to victory by Cole Donoghue and Taylor Blakney. Donoghue scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Blakney scored 34 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. The matchup was Blakney's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Stikeleather, who scored eight points.
The win (which was Lee Park Prep's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Carolina Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Park Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Anne Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Carolina Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hickory H at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hopefully Hickory H focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday.
