Basketball Recap: Cottage Sets Scoring Season-High Against Atlanta Area School for the Deaf

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cottage). They really took it to the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-31 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Leading Cottage to victory were Jackson Barnes and Gavin Akers. Barnes almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists, while Akers dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 boards. That's the most assists Barnes has posted since back in November of 2024. Luke Edwards was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Cottage was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Cottage's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
