While losing is never fun, Gray's Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while South View is ranked 82nd).
Despite the loss, Gray's Creek saw an underclassman step up: Ezekiel Reed rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Everything came up roses for Jack Britt against Gray's Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 27-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jack Britt since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
