She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Covington got a massive performance out of Coriana Brasfield, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Brasfield a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abbi Lanley, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Covington hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matches.
