For Fellowship Academy, this counts as revenge for the 52-37 loss Victory Baptist Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November.
Leading Fellowship Academy to victory were William Hornbuckle and Bryce Baker. Hornbuckle scored 12 points along with 5 steals, while Baker scored 16 points along with 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Baker has scored at least 25% of Fellowship Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Fountain, who scored 0 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Johnson, who scored 4 points along with 18 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Noah Burns, who scored 5 points along with 12 rebounds.
Fellowship Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fellowship Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weatherford Express HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against High Point Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
