Chopticon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Justin Kelly II and Nicholas Copenhaver. Kelly II also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Guilford Park got themselves on the board against Long Reach on Thursday, but Long Reach never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lightning 46-0. Given the Panther's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Lightning are ranked 115th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chopticon better keep an eye on Tyler Lee. He was instrumental in Guilford Park's win, rushing for 139 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries. Lee's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 139 rushing yards.
Chopticon's record is now 2-7. As for Guilford Park, their record now sits at 9-0.
