Kankakee Trinity Academy has struggled against Heritage Christian recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Kankakee Trinity Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Farrah Schurman, who scored five points along with two steals. Abby Whited was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
It was another big night for Sydney Lenting, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Heritage Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lenting has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nicole Lenting, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Kankakee Trinity Academy dropped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.
Kankakee Trinity Academy will face off against Parkview Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Parkview Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Kankakee Trinity Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Heritage Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Calumet Christian at 5:15 p.m. on February 15th.
