Christian Fellowship's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Jack Papineau made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Papineau was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Crockett, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Crockett is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson James, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Clopton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elsberry.
Tucker Salmons made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was John Grillo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Christian Fellowship's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clopton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Christian Fellowship has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game.
