The Thomas Dale Knights put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Deep Run for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-36 win on the road. Thomas Dale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Syvannah Dawson, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and almost dropped a triple-double on 31 points, nine assists, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nylah Wilson, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Thomas Dale pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Deep Run, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Thomas Dale will be playing in front of their home fans against John Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. John Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Thomas Dale is ranked first). As for Deep Run, they will head out on the road to face off against Glen Allen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
