4A Region 8 recap November 5, 2013
Wilson scaled the state rankings by moving to 138 from 165 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region 8. The Warriors were able to move up by beating Elkmont 28-0.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Haleyville beat Hamilton 28-26. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Lions.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Haleyville's Connor Kiser and Dillon Posey have proven to be a lethal combination. Kiser has thrown for 1,216 yards this season, while Posey has 15 catches for 420 yards. Dillon Miller from West Limestone leads the league in rushing with 1,010 yards.
Mark Heaton's team and the Aggies played the closest game in 4A Region 8 this week, with Mark Heaton's team eventually emerging with a 28-26 victory. Kiser threw for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
