The Hutto Hippos will venture away from home to take on the McNeil Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Hutto turned things around against Vista Ridge on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rangers, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hippos have posted since March 29th.

Jackson Reed tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Michael Elquist, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Littles, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McNeil). Everything went their way against Manor on Thursday as they made off with a 31-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.
Ethan Coronado made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Coronado was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, McNeil got a massive performance out of Justin Sandusky, who went 4-for-6 with one home run, nine RBI, and four runs. Sandusky also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Tyler Schwarz was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three doubles.
McNeil hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.
Hutto's record is now 9-18. As for McNeil, their record now sits at 11-9-2.
