The Burroughs Burros had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-50 victory over Sultana. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Burroughs also won the last time the pair played on January 3rd.

Several Sultans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leland Price, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Price continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyon Peters, who scored 12 points along with five assists.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burroughs won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Victor Valley at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Sultana will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Oak Hills at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
