The Penasco Panthers's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past Mora 52-12 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Penasco has posted since December 22, 2023.
Analise MacAuley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks. Alyssa Atencio was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Penasco now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mora, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penasco will take on McCurdy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mora, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Questa at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Questa has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
