Baseball Game Preview: Tecumseh Braves vs. Northeast Dubois Jeeps

Tecumseh has gone 8-2 against Northeast Dubois recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Braves will square off against the Jeeps at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Tecumseh is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Evansville Christian with a sharp 11-1 win. The game marked the Braves' most dominant victory of the season.

Wyatt Huddleston was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Tecumseh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-16-1 when he doesn't). Braydon Long was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Tecumseh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Northeast Dubois had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Blackhawks 15-1. Considering the Jeeps have won 11 matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Sheetz was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since May 3rd. Another player making a difference was Jake Kluesner, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Tecumseh has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-16-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Northeast Dubois, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
