Baseball Recap: Hanna Gets the Win

While Hanna's victory against Port Isabel wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hanna Golden Eagles skirted past the Port Isabel Tarpons 6-4. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Tarpons: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Orlando Rico, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Sebastian Escamilla also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hanna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Hanna's record is now 2-3. As for Port Isabel, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Hanna will be taking part in a tournament against Economedes at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hanna is facing Economedes at the right time seeing as Economedes is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Port Isabel, they will head out to face off against Lopez at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Lopez will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Port Isabel surely won't give up without a fight.
