There's no place like home for the Skyline Grizzlies, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Blackfoot 67-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dax Whitney, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Whitney set a new season high mark in steals with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Andersen, who scored 21 points.
Even though they lost, Blackfoot were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Skyline now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Blackfoot, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Skyline will head out on the road to face off against Idaho Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackfoot will be home for the holidays to greet Rigby at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
