After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington School, Granville Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Madison Christian Eagles with a sharp 9-3 win. Considering Granville Christian Academy has won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bentley Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Josiah Green was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jacob Fabbro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Granville Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Madison Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
